Abstract
This paper presents the results of the program, in which the transport-type aircraft were investigated. A series of stall maneuvers was made with deceleration rates into the stall of 1, 3, and 5 knots per second, with recovery initiated over a range of angle attack. The relative effects of the shape of the pitching-moment curves in the deep-stall region as well as in the initial-stall region were determined in terms of angle-of-attack overshoot and altitude losses during recovery.
